God's Purpose: Peace and Eternal Life
God loves you. He wants you to live in peace with Him and to have
eternal life with Him.
The Bible says....
v
"we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1)
v
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son. that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life." (John 3:16)
v
"....the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our
Lord." (Romans 6:23a)
Since God planned for us to be at peace with Him and to have
eternal life, why are so many people not going to believe?
Our Problem: Sin and Separation
God did not make us robots to mindlessly love and obey Him.
Instead He gave us Himself. He chose you and I out of this sin cursed world to
be "Holy and Blameless in His sight." (Ephesians 1:4). But, like Adam, we choose to disobey God and go our selfish ways.
This side of our nature is called "sin." Sin separates us from God.
The Bible says.....
v
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God.....the wages of sin is death." (Romans 3:23 and 6:23)
Who is included in the word "ALL"?
Every one from every age.....infants, teenagers, adults, seniors, the
dead.....everyone!
v
"So (after Adam sinned) the Lord God banished him from the
Garden of Eden." (Genesis
3:23a)
v
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and
your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2)
God's Remedy: The Cross of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem of separation from God.
He died on the cross and rose from the grave to pay the penalty for all of our
sins: past, present and future…..completely bridging the gap between us and
God.
The Bible says.....

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we
were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
v
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other
name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
v
"....God is on one side and all the people on the other
side, and Christ Jesus, Himself man, is between them to bring them
together...." (1 Timothy
2:5)
v
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears My Word (Jesus) and
believes Him Who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has
crossed over from death to life." (John 5:24)
v
"I came that they may have life
and have it abundantly." (John 10:10)
Our Response To God's Call: Believe Christ
We can believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of our sin and that His
message is the true message of eternal life. He alone has saved us from our
sins just by believing this message. Trust in Jesus to save you from your sins
and you have eternal life now and forevermore.
The Bible says.....
v "Consequently,
faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word
of Christ." (Romans 10:17)
v "(Jesus
said) Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me." (John 14:1)
v "All the
prophets testify about Him that every one who believes in Him (Jesus Christ)
receives forgiveness of sins through His name." (Acts 10:43)
v "Yet to
all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to
become the children of God." (John 1:12)
v "Whoever
believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be
condemned." (Mark 16:16)
v "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of
Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of
the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38)

You Might Ask: What Do I Need To Do To Be Saved? The answer is simple really.....Believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and be Baptized
as soon as possible. It is commanded: “Whoever believes and is Baptized will be
saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” (Mark 16:16)
You Might Ask: It Can't Be That Simple, Can It? Yes, it can and it is. You have read the Bible passages above
that tell you to believe. That is where salvation is given. Faith alone can
save you.
The Bible Says.....

"The righteous shall live by faith." (Romans 1:17b)
~ THE GREAT EXCHANGE ~
Pray this prayer: Today I ask
you to pray with me that you can be saved now:
Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I trust in You and
turn from my sins. I know You died for my eternal life. You took my sins upon
Yourself just for me because You loved me. You have cast my sins as far as the
east is from the west and You have chosen to not remember them ever again. You
rose from the grave and are now sitting on the right hand side of God the
Father. From there You will come again to judge the world. I am so glad that my
judgment has already taken place at the cross. Therefore, on the day You return
You will not cast me into outer darkness prepared for the devil and his angels.
You will take me with You forever into heaven. Not because I am worthy of such
a gift. But, because You made me worthy by being perfect for me and Your one
time sacrifice was accepted by God the Father on my behalf. You have chosen me
from before the world began. I did nothing to earn this. This was all Your
doing from beginning to end. I will now find a Pastor or someone today who will
baptize me because You have commanded me to "Be Baptized". I trust by
faith that You have saved me and I thank You in Jesus Name. Amen!
You are now "born-again", also called "born from
above." You have died
and have come back to life. You have "crossed over from death to life." You have exchanged your death for the life of Christ. You now
have eternal life. Not only after you die, but as of right now your life with
God is eternal and you are considered “righteous”, “blameless”, and "holy in
His sight."
The Bible says.....
v "Everyone
who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)
v
“He who has the Son has life: he who does not have
the Son does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in
the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:12-13)
